NEW IN: Hayfa Cut Jubah

Hayfa Division Jubah, Hayfa Jacket Jubah, Hayfa Chill Jubah and now HAYFA CUT JUBAH!

Just for this design, we have a total of 10 colours and 2 sizes!

Previously our Hayfa Cut Jubah consists mainly pastel colours. So Syura and I decided to include bold and pastel colours for our new design; Hayfa Cut Jubah!

Hayfa Girl Band Group

And, dont know why I decided to bring in black and WHITE jubah for this design. This is the first time Hey Hayfa brought in a literally off white jubah! Due to because umrah season coming and I feel in Singapore it's hard to find a jubah that's full white with lining and pocket attached of course! Hehe.

Our very first Hayfa Cut Jubah in White. Sesuci Murni sahabatku ini.

I really hope our Hey Hayfa customers love our newly launched Hayfa Cut Jubah. I meant, we designed our own jubahs from scratch & to think that it all produced to become so beautiful and slick, shows that our hard work of travelling& sketching are all paid off.

Okay, till the next entry with me looking all so pale wearing Hayfa Cut Jubah in Cerulean Blue.

Hey Hayfa Photoshoot : Asyari Photography

Assalamualaikum! I'm back again! So on Sunday, Hey Hayfa Team had an apparel photoshoot with Asyari Photography!

I utilized their photography services because not only they are my friends but the way they execute their tasks, show that it's their burning passion and not for money-wise.

I always love young talents/startups that begin from bottom because I too start from below, finding rezeki for a living by starting a jubah business.

And I always have this mindset that if we help each other in bringing up their business services, Allah will help us too. Rezeki ada di mana-mana sahaja. Rezeki it's not from humans but from Allah. Why should we be stingy/lokek in giving to others?

So, I get my good friend Kirin as a model as she has previous model experiences, which is a bonus point!

Asyari Photography Team consists of; A Husband & Wife. And do you know how old they are to be indulging in photography business? They are just 23 & 22 years old respectively! How young is that?!

And not forgetting their cute little daughter, Aisyah (#aisyahasyari) ! They dont always bring their daughter for shoots, but I thought 'hey I havent met Aisyah, so just bring her along la'.

Aisyah is really such an easy and cooperative baby girl. When I carried, hugged, kissed & bullied (oops) her, SHE DIDNT CRY. I was flabbergasted as babies would usually cry if a stranger carries and what more, kisses? Hahaha. More reasons to bring Aisyah's out for Hey Hayfa upcoming photoshoots right?

Moving on to Asyari Photography, I was shocked that the wife, Shabrina, does know both Photography & Videography! It is sucha a plus point as nowadays muslimah are into female photographers, so Shab, I believe you can go far!

Asyari Photography has experience in shooting for graduation, wedding, product shoot for mainly hijabs, apparels and shoes.

So if you are someone who's like me that supports young and local talent, be sure to contact Asyari Photography for their services! They are sucha awesome duo and nice individuals too!

Hey Hayfa, Instocks!

For our previous jubah collections, we had the selling method of 'pre-order' process. Hey Hayfa Team experienced both positivity and negativity while executing this pre-order process.

Positivity during Pre-Order
 - We collated more than 100 jubah orders within a week. (Wow.So impressive!)
 - We did not need to raise up capital/model for our jubahs. (Customers paid pre-order money and we used that to pay to suppliers straight)
 - We had to photoshoot our sample jubah and oh my it was so much fun!

Negativity during Pre-Order
 - Our jubahs came late as promised. This was very terrible as we promised customer 3-4 weeks and so we waited for 2 months?
 - During the sample jubahs, EVERTHING WAS PERFECT. The sewn hidden pockets and colours are like what we dreamt of. But when the stocks came, OH MY. All the information mentioned before was totally the opposite! We ordered emerald green, we got olive green (yucks!), and our sleeves jubah was so tight.
 - We wouldnt want to take pre orders again. Never in our life.

As such, we are going to have instocks Jubah collection from now on! YAYY! Ordering more than 100 jubahs, 5-7 colours and myriad of sizes from S-4XL!

And we took few months break as we are really sourcing for RELIABLE suppliers that can deliver what we want and not give beautiful things only during sample process and dirtful items during instocks.

I get Asyura's friend for help to rebrand our logo too! Creative isn't?

Of course,  if you rebranded your logo, you should also improved on your packaging and all right? As such, we have our plastic packaging customized that have our brand logo and contact details in there!

Insya'allah, everything will go as fine and we hope history would not repeat itself.

I believe that selling any products besides jubah, one needs to have a whacky and unique selling point. And never stock up/take a picture of your merchandise like as if you are direct selling it. As if you are asking your customers to BUY,BUY,BUY your product.

Trick is to include cute or extraordinary photos or flatlays, and definitely your pictures should be of a high quality one lah.

Im excited of Hey Hayfa new jubah collections. Are you gettin' excited too?

#HeyHayfaApologue

It's sad when people know you are from Singapore, they take advantage of you.

It's sad when they know you can pay, they add a few more charges to it.

It's sad when you are young, they try their very best to con it.

This is not the way of Jual Beli in Islam. This is just...

A Sweet Act

I woke up today feeling so groggy and as usual, sleepy.

Oh well maybe because I slept at around 2am-ish cause I was busy talking to Syura? Hah.

Before going to work, I took out my black jubah from my wardrobe & placed it near the ironing board.

I wanted to bathe straight away WHEN I saw a bed at my parent's room.

SO.

I decided to continue sleeping for 15 mins. Hahaha!

When I woke up (no I wasnt late for work), I hurriedly went out to the living room because remember I have my jubah to iron?

That's when I saw Ismail, my lil bro, ironed the jubah for me. He said 'Nah Kak. I ironed for you already'.

I INSTANTLY MELT I TELL YOU. My tiredness swept away, I was so alert the moment I realised my lil bro did ironing for me!

My lil bro never does ironing for me before. That explains why I was flabbergasted.

Dear Ismail, you know whatever you do, Kakak still love you? Even if you're sometimes mad at me cause I'm always late in meeting you. Hehe.

Regarding Those Who Say Bad Things About You

Reblogged from; dawatussalafiyyah

Ash-Shaykh Al-’Allaamah ‘Abdur-Rahmaan bin Naasir As-Sa’dee (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“And from the beneficial matters is that you know that the harm people may cause you – especially in their saying bad things about you – it does not harm you, but rather it harms them. That is unless you busy yourself with giving concern to what they say, and you allow it to control your feelings. In that case their evil speech will harm you, just as it harms them. So if you do not pay any attention to what they say, it cannot harm you at all.”

It's better to give they say...

“ Nabilah. Come follow Papa to NTUC.”

Mad fatigued and lazy as a bee, I was at the point of time. Knowing that I haven’t been going out with Papa ever since I’ve started my internship, I agreed in tagging along with him. Attending religious classes every Monday and doing housework chores with Papa were some of the things I did during the semester break. I didn’t continue my job as a Part Timer in my previous retail job as I thought I would love to spend my 2 months of holidays bonding with my lovely parents. I know that I put good use as now, for internship, I don’t have time to catch up with my friends, what more my family.

NTUC is the best place for shopping of groceries, every day basic necessities and electrical appliances. Mainly, whatever items you need, will they provide the fresh items, new packaging and worth-it. I prefer shopping to NTUC then Shop & Save, Sheng Siong though.

Looking at Papa who was busy choosing vegetables, I could see that he is a very meticulous, proper and well-kept individual. He always provides me tips on how to choose good fruits, well-maintained can drinks and fresh chickens. He also teaches me on how to be thrifty. Whenever there’re any sales promotions, he would rather purchase the items than buying non-sale items. Of course, the sales items one buys, caters to your needs and not wants. You don’t just buy items that are cheap, affordable and on sale but to keep it at home for display purposes, right?

Cutting the story short, we took bus home. I could see that Papa talks, listens and communicates well. He knew when to cheer me up when I’m bored during the journey. Discussing about what were my plans after poly life, Papa always supports and gives me the green light to do whatever I want, as long as it is not something absurd.

As we were the only commuters left in bus 265, Papa being a very amiable person, communicated with the bus driver. Something about him is, everywhere he goes, there’ll always be his friends approaching him, shouting for his name and chatting with him. He’s someone that is not arrogant or chooses to talk with someone that he doesn’t like. He hangs out with everybody and even my sayang Wardah, likes my Papa. Maybe you want to become my Papa’s daughter in law? *Giving hints*

When it’s time to reach my bus stop, Papa was still seeing chit chatting with the Malay bus driver. I couldn’t care less than to tap out my ez link card, leave the bus and wait for him at the nearest traffic light. For someone that loves building rapport, how random could my Papa get in still talking with the bus driver. I wondered what were they discussing about as they took quite a long time talking and they had just known each other for goodness sake.

“I gave the bus driver the chickens that we just bought. He has to return home to Malaysia and come to  work early tomorrow. Don’t worry, we still have chickens at home. Later Papa will cook for you, okay? ”

I didn’t know what to react. To weep or to pat my Papa’s shoulders. Weeping as my Papa really did show some act of kindness in giving the favourite food of mine, to the bus driver and patting my Papa’s shoulders as he was really very thoughtful in giving others food. He simply doesn’t care whether the recipient has known him for long, his good friends or cousins. He just gives to whomever.

The Best Exam

I remembered during N and O level examination times where I memorized the important facts and useful words that could help in my composition, crazily. Staying up till the wee hours actually no, I used to sleep early and wake up at 4am for tahajjud prayers and then proceeded on to study and memorizing of school-related facts.

Now that my school has no examinations and tests are conducted in an open book style, I don’t really burn the midnight oil to memorize facts, theories and all. Truth be told, whatever I learnt during secondary school, I had forgotten. Nyehehe. I forgot what the formulas for prism and cylinder are, how to start a Malay composition and what’s the name of a flower parts in Biology subject.

In the midst of an examination, we are taught not to copy, get help from friends and open a book to check for answers. We’ll get a warning or barred from taking the exam if we do that. But how about tests/examination given from the Almighty?

Masya'Allah, how true is this?

Becoming A Nurse

The moment I received my O level results, I broke down instantaneously. Feeling of sadness ruptured my heart. I looked at my points and heaved a bad sigh. I couldn't possibly make my way to the JC. As dreamt, I would want to continue my studies there as simply it will be an easier way for admission to go to the university.

I broke to tears when I informed my parents that I could not possibly head to a JC path. Deep down, I've been wanting to go Millenia Institute but my points failed me. As usual, my parents were calming and reassuring me down.

I was in a total state of shock and not knowing what course to choose. I was torn between Science and Business. Day and night had I been researching intently on which course suited me. I've an eye for business as I took POA and business is just my thing. My parents cut the conversation and wanted me to take Nursing course. They thought that I will get a stable job as there's been a high demand of job in the nursing field.

Without objecting and fighting my parent's decisions, I put “Nursing” as my top choices. My sister even let me talked with one of her graduated Nursing friend in asking how Nursing life is.

As I've already submitted my choices, I pray to Allah that hopefully I've made the right choice. Unease and doleful lingered through my mind. I really have no interest in Science even though I emerged the top student for N level. Studying in lab, using microscope and wearing coat labs aren’t my thing. Yes, I did score well for my science paper, but that doesn't mean I would like to further my studies on that particular field.

I made the decision to change. A strong energetic force wanted me to edit my choices. Receiving the school message that I've been accepted from the school, I quickly browsed again the polytechnic course books. I knew that I'm doing the right thing. I'm sorry that I went against my parents’ decision to call Nursing choice an off. The simple fact that I do not want to learn to be a Nurse; I just don't have any interest in that.

I believe, I could not succeed or focus well if that choice/course is not my cup of tea. I won't obtain good grades if my heart and soul isn't 100% putting in effort to study.

My parents felt dismayed as they couldn't see their daughter in becoming a Nurse. I'm sorry again Pa, Ma. You guys like that Nursing field. But I simply don't. What for pursuing something I don't like and in the end I don't get what I want?

And there's wisdom hikmah in me not choosing Nursing as my choice/course. Being a Nurse, I couldn't possibly don on my hijab permanently. Yes, maybe a while. Before going to work, I will don on it. On the verge of doing work, I have to remove it. After work, I have to don it back.

Dons and Remove Dons and Remove. I simply don't like that action. It's precisely not sincere. Why not choose something that allows me to don on it permanently or without having to remove it? I will be saved from the torment of hellfire, Insha’Allah.

Wisdom Tooth

I woke up to a very excruciating pain toothache. Looking at the mirror, I saw a small lump of "growth" at the very edge of my teeth. Scared and shocked, I told Mama. She said that it was "Wisdom Tooth".

Me being me, I wasn't sure initially what's Wisdom Tooth is actually. I heard from grapevines that one will experience it when you'll get older, wisdom tooth is so utterly a torture hence one needs to EXTRACT it out. It freaked me out when I heard the word EXTRACT. NO NO.

So what is Wisdom Tooth?

"Wisdom Tooth stands for tooth of maturity or adulthood teeth. Those are usually the last one to erupt in the mouth and hence it is called the last tooth"
- Source: checkdent

No words could explain how agonizing it was. I even tweeted it saying that I cant probably bear. Kak Nurul suggested me to extract it. I avoided as I am a scary cat when it comes to these. My tweet got a reply. One beautiful friend of mine suggested for me to berzikir to God. Before I headed to sleep, I berzikir countless of time till I didnt realise it turned to a next following day.

Something miracle happened. When I woke up, the first ever thing I did is to check whether my teeth's condition has improved. Thanks to Allah, the pain diffused away.

I always remember this. Whenever God sends me difficulties, it will always accompanied by ease. One sure have to be patient with God's Will.

Alhamdulillah, that very day, my wisdom tooth was healed.

Till the next entry. In Shaa Allah

New Islam brother.

Attended religious preach (syarahan) with Harmiriaty yesterday. Topic was about Facebook & Rasulllah s.a.w. Guest speakers were Ustaz Mohd Zain & Mr Fadzuli Wahab, the founder of Islamic Events.sg website.

Harmiriaty!
Tumblr muslimah  from TouchedSoul! I love all her reblog islamic posts! No wonder her domain name is touchedsoul. Her tumblr posts really could touch one's soul.

Never did I regret spending my Saturday night attending this meaningful & fruitful event. The were myriad of attendees and some people have no choice to listen to the preach while standing outside the room. See how eager Muslims are in hearing sermons from knowledgeable and pious people?

And this was the first time, I ever witnessed a chinese guy converted into Islam. Alhamdulilah for the convert, Brother Andy. You really made a good and right choice in choosing Islam. May Allah s.w.t guide and bless you. Amin.

Till we meet again. In Sha Allah.

I Thank Allah For Everything.

4 hours in Malaysia.

My father and 2 of my cousins-Uncle Rahman and Auntie Kiah went to Johor Bahru, Malaysia to do some groceries shopping. They would always love to visit Larkin Sentral,Giant etc as these stores sell cheap and affordable items. My father will always make a point of heading to Malaysia to buy the basic kitchen necessities there as he thinks that the items he buys are all worth it. Mind you, one should multiply 2.2 from Singapore money to be converted to Malaysian Ringgit [RM]. So lets say one converted to a $50 Singapore note, he will get RM110. Big sum doesn't? And again, it depends on which day one is converting the money. The number 2.2 is not a fixed value. It may varies from day to day.

That's my big-size daddy for you! And he's birthday is coming. On 26 April. Wah. Few more weeks and my dad is a chubby 31 years of age! Hehe.

A picture of the road in front of my house.. My place is always filled with oncoming vehicles, friendly passer-bys and erm myriads of taxis? Oh yes. I am so fortunate to live here. My place has all sorts of transportation one could ever ask for. From the long trains, fast coming buses and expensive cabs! So, whenever I am late to school, I would just hail, and tup.. a cab comes to my rescue! Did many know? This area above would always encounter road accidents. Okay. Questions of why and how it occurred is another story yeah.

That's my fast & furious Uncle Rahman! Driving a Suzuki Swift for about 2 years, he is sucha a caring and understanding uncle of mine. Whenever I go out with him, he will never fail to enquire about my studies, ask about my school and how I am doing so far. Mixed with Arab + Chinese blood, he is the sort that hates to waste time. For instance, he does not like to dawdle or dilly dally on things.

The 3 elderlies making their way down to eat. We ate at the restaurant which was at Larkin Sentral. Larkin Sentral is always filled with many Singaporean visitors. It's a place where one could bargain for more cheaper price of the fish, cut hair at the nearby salon and not forgetting ...eating of Murtabak!

I realised that I forgot to snap Auntie Kiah's picture alone. Next time, okay? :)

After filling our stomachs with chicken murtabak, milo ice and nescafe, we made our way to the wet market. Daddy wanted to buy basic items such as fruits, mee etc...

The market vendors.

Whenever I visit this particular market, Daddy never fails in visiting this vendor. Now I know why he likes it because this vendor sells ready-make food such as epok-epok,keepok,prata and many more. At home we will just snip off the packaging, light up the stove and be ready to slide the food down the wok to cook. Simple and Handy aren't?

Next vendor will be the dry-food type. Daddy always buy ikan-bilis,crackers and ketchup here!

A Chinese elderly selling different types of magazines and newspapers just outside the market.

Look what I found. A cute little kitten outside the market. :')

And another one! This time round, this cat shape size is huge!!

The elderlies packing and keeping the items neat and proper.

As we finished shopping at Larkin Sentral, we headed to Maslee Supermarket. It is somehow like NTUC Fairprice here in Singapore!

Hehe. See my Daddy's baby bump! LOL. So cute lar him!

This is the wet area where fishes, squids and fishballs are available here!

Lastly, its paying of groceries time! YAY!

I really had a fun and enjoyable time in Malaysia. Although it was just a mere 4 hours journey, I experienced how life in Malaysia was suppose to be. Their houses, markets and toilets may not be as equal standards to us, but hey they make Halal hard-earned money right?.That is more important than anything else, yeah?

Till we meet again. In Shaa Allah.
