New Jubah: Hayfa Dart Jubah

So after Hayfa Slick Jubah, Hey Hayfa brings in the new Hayfa Dart Jubah collection!

TADAAAA.

I really love the simple details of it; Black contrasting pocket lines.

Hayfa Dart is the first jubah we incorporate black trimmings to it! Made of premium cotton material, you'll definitely looking so sophisticated wearing this one right here!

When we soft launched this jubah during Kassim Baba Fest back in March, many customers commented that they love the material & 'em pockets!

Thank you so much people for buying & most importantly supporting Hey Hayfa's jubah collections! Your support really mean the world to us!

Till the next design guys!

Hey Hayfa :Women of Haya 2016

So on 5th of Nov, Hey Hayfa participated for an event organised by Kaifiyyah.

The name of the event is Women of Haya. Hayaa in Arabic means modesty and shyness for a Muslimah to portray themselves inner and outwardly.

This was the 3rd bazaar/event Hey Hayfa participated in 2016. Previously was The Ladies Souq, Lokals for Lokals and now Women of Haya.

I must say each of every event taught me different things. I learnt so much about networking, branding and customer service when joining these bazaars, mixing with the other brand owners and meeting different group of target market publicized by the organizers.

Tadaaa! Can you spot our logo? Hehehe.

The few that always be with us whenever we decide to join event.

From left: Musfirah from Halo.May, My sister and I and Kak Tina from Tia by Ts

During the event too, our jubah railing fell off (cause I think maybe it outweighed the maximum no of clothes) and we were so in panicky mode to get a substitute railing. What we did was to use a tape to secure the railing (this was a no choice and wasnt a bad idea after all. haha)

Of course there are so many learning points to learn from this bazaar.

1) Bring your own clothes railing. Avoid using/renting out organizer railing cause you do not know how much jubahs u can hang with theirs. You already are accustomed with your own railing so might as well use yours.

2) Print out price labels for your clothes. Some customers are shy to even ask because they scared that it's expensive but it's actually not.

3) Display all clothes sizes on the railing. We thought that our 3XL sizes were out of stock but when we reached home and did stock take, to our horror, we still have some left.So you see, you should just display all sizes. Extras jubah can be put inside the storage spaces

And so Hey Hayfa Leaders signing out yaw. We were hugging our Hayfa Cut Jubah in White and we have yet to do a photoshoot for this upcoming one.

So see ya next time for another event in Dec!

Interest Charge/ Riba

We are happily signing up study loan because we are intimidated by the statement ‘0% interest’ charge.

We are excitedly taking up HDB home loan because ‘lowest interest’ sounds better than high interest rate.

We feel so calm when taking up a loan because it says that it can be payable within 12 months without interest.

Oh how the banks will not disclose to you that there are hidden charges and interest handling charges involved.

How the banks will not disclose to you that if you do not make the full payment at the end of the month, interest rate occurs.

No wonder Allah forbids interest/riba in everything we do.

‘Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden interest’ – (Surah Al Baqarah: 275)

Hey Hayfa Division Jubah

Assalamualaikum everyone! I’m back!

So, previously it was Hayfa Jacket Jubah & now I’m going to present Hayfa Division Jubah in 4 colours!

What’s different in this jubah is, it has some sort of panel lining attached to it.

For me I personally love the maroon colour and need I say the maroon colour is the popular colour customers rave about?!

Armed with wudhu, nursing and pocket friendly, it’s a must have jubah if you’re someone who love minimalist.

Hey Hayfa Photoshoot : Asyari Photography

Assalamualaikum! I'm back again! So on Sunday, Hey Hayfa Team had an apparel photoshoot with Asyari Photography!

I utilized their photography services because not only they are my friends but the way they execute their tasks, show that it's their burning passion and not for money-wise.

I always love young talents/startups that begin from bottom because I too start from below, finding rezeki for a living by starting a jubah business.

And I always have this mindset that if we help each other in bringing up their business services, Allah will help us too. Rezeki ada di mana-mana sahaja. Rezeki it's not from humans but from Allah. Why should we be stingy/lokek in giving to others?

So, I get my good friend Kirin as a model as she has previous model experiences, which is a bonus point!

Asyari Photography Team consists of; A Husband & Wife. And do you know how old they are to be indulging in photography business? They are just 23 & 22 years old respectively! How young is that?!

And not forgetting their cute little daughter, Aisyah (#aisyahasyari) ! They dont always bring their daughter for shoots, but I thought 'hey I havent met Aisyah, so just bring her along la'.

Aisyah is really such an easy and cooperative baby girl. When I carried, hugged, kissed & bullied (oops) her, SHE DIDNT CRY. I was flabbergasted as babies would usually cry if a stranger carries and what more, kisses? Hahaha. More reasons to bring Aisyah's out for Hey Hayfa upcoming photoshoots right?

Moving on to Asyari Photography, I was shocked that the wife, Shabrina, does know both Photography & Videography! It is sucha a plus point as nowadays muslimah are into female photographers, so Shab, I believe you can go far!

Asyari Photography has experience in shooting for graduation, wedding, product shoot for mainly hijabs, apparels and shoes.

So if you are someone who's like me that supports young and local talent, be sure to contact Asyari Photography for their services! They are sucha awesome duo and nice individuals too!

Hey Hayfa, Instocks!

For our previous jubah collections, we had the selling method of 'pre-order' process. Hey Hayfa Team experienced both positivity and negativity while executing this pre-order process.

Positivity during Pre-Order
 - We collated more than 100 jubah orders within a week. (Wow.So impressive!)
 - We did not need to raise up capital/model for our jubahs. (Customers paid pre-order money and we used that to pay to suppliers straight)
 - We had to photoshoot our sample jubah and oh my it was so much fun!

Negativity during Pre-Order
 - Our jubahs came late as promised. This was very terrible as we promised customer 3-4 weeks and so we waited for 2 months?
 - During the sample jubahs, EVERTHING WAS PERFECT. The sewn hidden pockets and colours are like what we dreamt of. But when the stocks came, OH MY. All the information mentioned before was totally the opposite! We ordered emerald green, we got olive green (yucks!), and our sleeves jubah was so tight.
 - We wouldnt want to take pre orders again. Never in our life.

As such, we are going to have instocks Jubah collection from now on! YAYY! Ordering more than 100 jubahs, 5-7 colours and myriad of sizes from S-4XL!

And we took few months break as we are really sourcing for RELIABLE suppliers that can deliver what we want and not give beautiful things only during sample process and dirtful items during instocks.

I get Asyura's friend for help to rebrand our logo too! Creative isn't?

Of course,  if you rebranded your logo, you should also improved on your packaging and all right? As such, we have our plastic packaging customized that have our brand logo and contact details in there!

Insya'allah, everything will go as fine and we hope history would not repeat itself.

I believe that selling any products besides jubah, one needs to have a whacky and unique selling point. And never stock up/take a picture of your merchandise like as if you are direct selling it. As if you are asking your customers to BUY,BUY,BUY your product.

Trick is to include cute or extraordinary photos or flatlays, and definitely your pictures should be of a high quality one lah.

Im excited of Hey Hayfa new jubah collections. Are you gettin' excited too?

High Potential

Was studying for Human Resource Management about topic called "Career Development". This quote somehow caught my eye..

"High potentials consistently and significantly outperform their peer groups in a variety of settings and circumstances. While achieving these superior levels of performance, they exhibit behaviors that reflect their companies' culture and values in an exemplary manner. Moreover, they show a strong capacity to grow and succeed throughout their careers within an organization - more quickly and effectively than their peers groups do."
