Where Ma Lovely Siblings At?

So this year raya again, I did not have a 'sister' that will doll-up for me or even provide makeups instruments for my other sisters. This year raya again, I did not wear high heels or even have nice pumps to sashay down the street. This year raya again, I did not have someone scolding me if I wake up late for raya prayers or if I didnt help Mama in the kitchen. 

But this year raya, I definitely have a lot of whatsapp images being exchanged and live videos being screened all the way from Perth. 

Oh how I miss my sister and her family not forgetting my new born niece, baby lish. 

I'll always wonder if she gets to eat her favourite non spicy rendang, udang, ayam masak merah and also kuih tart or cornflakes. I'll always have this mindset that she gets to eat western food during first day of raya, but no eh!, it's just my silly imagination. Haha. Her parents-in-law are great cooks and my sister is so fortunate to have them too! (I doa that my parents-in-law are nicest human beings and treat me well too! Hehe)

This year raya we were in cerulean blue! Do we siblings look alike?

'Hope you'll get a good husband' - 7 Eleven Cashier

I was fasting on Monday and headed to 7 Eleven after working hours to buy drinks, in case it's the break time and I can just sip a bit of apple juice on the bus.

When I handed my drinks over to the Indian cashier, she told me ' Fasting coming soon right? Now you should eat a lot. Once ramadhan comes, you cant get to eat already'

I replied ' Yup, Coming soon! Im fasting today btw'.

She commented 'Oh why are you fasting today, isnt too early?'

I replied again ' Im paying back my fasting days for the previous Ramadhan' 

She added ' Wow. Not many people will care to pay back. Some will just ignore y'know. I hope you get a good husband. Keep on praying'

Cute lah this Indian cashier. She still can selit about future husband all. And yes, early in the morning I'd always buy chicken pao from 7 Eleven mrt , and that's why the Indian cashier will know whether Im still single or available by having short conversations. Hahaha.

You olls dah bayar balik puasa belum? Cecepat if not kene bayar fidyah tau!

Slowly But Surely

When I am always on the verge of giving up, I will ponder upon this verse;

Many still do not know the real ways of covering up, or even do not have the strong urge or necessity to dress properly.

Simply armed & influenced by the media of the way of wearing & dressing up, they emulate the Kuffar way of life and totally forgot about the true purpose of who creates them, who brings them here in this Dunya and who gives them the opportunity to be famous.

Slowly but surely, my fellow sisters in Islam.

We often see how teenagers, young adults so gung-holy seeking & vigorously pursuing degrees or even masters on duniawi related matters (accounting, biology, mechanical engineering)

Their enthusiasm, devotion and keeness in studying can be seen as a commendable effort as we will be having qualified doctors, architectures for our future generation!

But how about about Ukhrawi field?

Will they be young ustazah/ustaz teaching hadiths, ulum quran, tafsir, fiqih munakahat in future generations to come?

Don't forget that, if we (young teenagers) are becoming older, our parents/ustaz/ustazah are becoming way elder too.

We could not just depend them in imparting Islamic knowledge. Young talents should be as eager in studying Islamic knowledge like they do too for Duniawi stuff.
