Be Patient. Allah Does Hear Us.

Ahoy people.

Yes. Yes. I know that I didn’t blog as much as my latest entry was on February. To think that I’m on internship now, do you must know that I’m working every single day? Weekends included. Not for internship but I got other part-time job [teaching] to attend to. Luckily, I only work for a few hours and Alhamdulillah is the location of my workplace is just a few bus stops away from my house. Blessed, I am.

So as for Internship, do many know that I started my Internship late? Many other students started on the 15 April and then there’s me and other minority interns that started on the 22 April. My facilitator said, “Start Late, End Late”. Yah. One does not need to emphasize on that. I know, I know.

*I’m going to talk about the process of waiting for internship so please bear with me.* LOL.

After UT3 completed, we RP students had about 2 months to enjoy ourselves, break free from school stuff and probably work? For that intense 2 months, I was waiting impatiently in receiving my internship placing. Many students had already received their confirmation placing company for internship in the first few weeks of March, signed the confirmation letter and contacted their liaison officers. For some unknown reason, mine internship was delayed.

Then I thought. Why not make good use of time in turning to Allah for help? I asked God for ease during my internship journey, no java codings [I hate Codings] and no laborious task for me to handle. Every now and then did I always ask him that.

"O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient." [2:153, Quran]

Just 5 days before my internship officially started, my liaison officer contacted me. He said I got rejected by a bank. *Sobs Sobs.* That said, he would find other companies to cater an internship place for me. I was disheartened as I got refused by a bank. But then, I learn something new. Islam and Bank and Interest cannot go hand in hand.

The Prophet Mohammad, may Allah’s mercy and peace be upon` him, said in his farewell sermon: “God has forbidden you to take Riba, therefore all riba obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer inequity. God has judged that there shall be no riba and that all the riba due to `Abbas ibn `Abd al Muttalib shall henceforth be waived.”[3]

Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) cursed the one who deals with Riba. From Jabir (ra): The Prophet (pbuh) cursed the receiver and the payer of riba, the one who records it and the two witnesses to the transaction and said: "They are all alike [in guilt]." [Sahih al-Muslim, Sahih Al-Bukhari, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Bahiqi and Musnad Ahmad]

I’ve made researched about interest [riba] in banks and all. I thank Allah to not grant me a place in the bank. It’s simply because he wouldn’t want me to have interest in part of my salary. I always believe that whatever Allah takes from me, He will definitely grants me with something BETTER and NEWER.
"Be patient, for your patience is with the help of Allah." (16:127)

Now, I’m in my 3rd week of internship. I couldn’t disclose the company name where I’m interning but I just want to highlight that I am having  fun and enjoyable time here! No codings, No bossy supervisor, No hypocrites’ colleagues, No No No! Alhamdulillah! What I like most of my internship is my JOBSCOPE!!
Wanna know what’s my job scope is? Ehehehe.

WRITING. You wouldn’t have any idea how much I love to write. In school too, I belonged in some writing CCA. I just love to pen my thoughts down, reflect and use some flowery phrases in my writing. As I am placed in an IT security company, I need to write up about IT security solution products in an email format and blast it to thousands of random recipients. Seems fun, but oh boy are there tons of thinking, reading and editing to do.

I believe that my internship in this company will be a smooth sailing one. 7 August, I can’t wait to meet you…..happily because that’s when my internship ends.

Till we meet again.
In Shaa Allah
