4 Fingers

2018 welcomed me in having to pay for my subsequent semester school fees.  A 4-figure sum that could buy me a Chanel classic bag.
Today, you're paying your degree fees.
Tomorrow, you are choosing your favourite Saint Laurent bag.

Patience Nabilah, hahaha.

I was roaming around Plaza Singapura right from school. I headed to Cold Storage just to find Acai Berry Pulp frozen pack, only to find out it wasnt available. Bummer.

And then I was walking down the shopping aisle and saw '4 Fingers'. To me 4 Fingers serves the best cooked marinated chicken ever! It triumphs over KFC, Hajah Maimunah and my mom's chicken! You should try if you havent, and I tell you, u'll get addicted!

Anyway back to my story, as I chanced upon 4 Fingers, my heart wanted to buy chickens for my family. But not too long ago, I just paid for my hefty school fees and then thought to myself 'Wait for your next pay, Bil. U have spent so much this month'. I received a whatsapp notification from Raudhah saying 'Kak Asyura cooked kway teow goreng with prawns'. I was so delighted and rushed to go home although my heart and soul in wanting for 4 Fingers still stay intact.

When I reached home, Asyura said to Ismail 'Oh hor, you finished the food'. In that moment I know my lil brother has just ate my portion without me asking. At a quick instant, Raudhah came to me and exclaimed 'Kak, I whipped for you Korean Noodle ok?'

I know Raudhah meant well. Cause normally, when my siblings finish off my food, the angelic Nabilah will turn into a Monstrous Nabilah. Very unsightly human creature you'll ever seen.

I enjoyed Raudhah's cooking while scrolling down my Instagram feed. It dawned on me that Ive improved on my anger and patience. That was not to shout at Ismail for finishing up my food. Few mins later, Isa returned home and i heard a loud cheer that went 'OH MY GOD 4 FINGERS!'

That instant, I felt so grateful to Allah.

There are 2 things which I learnt about myself today.
I would always flare up if someone eats my food but today I practice patience (my 2018 resolution?) and I was so calmed when Ismail finished my food.

The power of spending things for the family. Rmb, I wanted to buy 4 Fingers for my family, and I had not much left? But then i consoled myself that they would always be a next time. And then Allah sent the 4 Fingers through my lil brother , Isa.

I think that's the reward of being patience. You'll get 4 Fingers. Haha!

Thank You Kind Stranger

My sis & I bought an Indonesian sim card, & pfft it cant be used for Iphone's compatibility. Was stranded at the apartment's lobby as we couldnt get 3g, and my bro was uncontactable.

Felt restless cause no 1) sim card paid and cnt used . 😑
2) Theres no wifi at apartment lobby. 3) We didnt know the room level of our airbnb, so no choice just waited at lobby.

BUT SOMEHOW I had this feeling that God's gonna help me.

Was seated at the lobby's sofa & there's one friendly auntie approaching us. She heard we needed wifi, & she literally said 'Come go up my apartment. U can rest also. U can sleep/spend a night there too'

I was like 'Seriously? So easy meh this stranger just jio us.'

Moments after, my sister and I got connected to my brother using the stranger's phone. Her apartment was so nice and sleek. She's so friendly that she told us where was she from, which city she was in and what was she here for.

Till now, Im still questioning why was she so nice. Like u know my sis and I can be burglars or thieves muahahha but she trusted us wholly.

Love u la stranger. #godsent #shemustbeamalaikat

♥ The Power of Tahajjud Prayers ♥

'Ever wondered why Tahajjud is so powerful?

It is because for some reason people get very emotional during the night. They share secrets, give confessions and think much about things that mean a lot to them.

And Allah has choosen this exact time of the day for you to come to Him with your heavy heart & pour everything out that worries you. To fulfill the duas that you want to get answered so bad, and to see if Allah is as important to you as you claim'

The dua made at Tahajjud is like an arrow which does not miss its target. - Imam Ash Shafi'i.

Trust Him

When you feel so low spirited & despondent, know that Allah test whom he loves.

When you feel grief & dejected, know that Allah will never be wrong with his plans for you.

When you feel like giving up, know that Allah will never burden a soul beyond that it can bear.

Put your trust in him, dear self.

2017 New Jubah: Hayfa Slick Jubah

It's true when God takes something away from you, He presents you with something even better and never would you imagine it to have.

Our regular tailor was caught up with so many assignments and so they didnt had enough time to do our jubahs. We couldnt wait for their agreed timeline as we have aplenty jubahs designs to launch, and so I found another new production team in a short period of time. Something about me is that, I will always doa to him in granting me good tailors. Good tailors that are even better then what was given to us back in 2014.

Something about this new tailor, got me like her. Her conversation replies showed me that she's someone that i can trust and she replies FAST. This is important cause we need our production team to reply fast and not a silent treatment.

Cut the story short, Syura and I were so glad that we found her! Cause really she knows what we want, she knows exactly what we think of and she's pretty efficient too. This is our new tailor's work. Oh, we call this collection; Hayfa Slick Jubah.

#hayfaslickjubah features have double welt pocket design!

We have 6 colours in total, which we left out Lavender. Haha. With flare cut & sleeves, do  visit our webshop to order!

Of all creations, the best is that who prays to Him. Of all women, the best is that covers modestly. Today, we will be wearing tight or short clothings. Insya'allah tomorrow, may we all be covered up wearing loose clothings. Slowly but surely.

Everyone's Rizq is Fixed

A brother moved to Makkah many years ago. He was a high flying manager of major departmental stores in U.K., Malaysia and China. He had been brought in by Bin Dawood stores as a regional manager for the Makkah region. He was from England.

After living and working in Saudi for some time, he later narrated how he found it so strange, unique and uplifting in how business was done in Saudi. Here were the examples he gave:

1. In Makkah, next to a major Bin Dawood superstore, a rival new company were entering the kingdom and decided to open a mega store right next to Bin Dawood, within metres. The brother was perturbed, "Why can't they open just somewhere else."The owners of Bin Dawood frowned on his outlook. They ordered him to send his workers to the other store being setup and offer them tea and food and any help they needed to setup! The brother was left  astounded. The Bin Dawood management simply replied, "Our rizq is fixed, they cannot take even a single riyal from what has been decreed upon us. So why not gain ajr and help them."

2. The next reflection is over the actions of the owner of alFakieh poultry in Saudi Arabia, who has a famous mosque in MAKKAH (Masjid Faqih), is very rich ماشاء الله تبارك الله and religious.

He found out that his major rival AlWatania was floundering with huge debts of a million plus riyals. So he one day sent a cheque to the owner of AlWatania and said, "Pay off your debt, and pay me back, whenever you can." He had the opportunity to become the sole major distributor of chicken but instead he decided to help his main rival.

I personally feel we have been affected growing up in environments with the capitalistic and consumer mindset that is in every part of our lives. It removes Tawakkul - reliance on Allah, and the Muhabbah (love) of our brotherhood from our hearts.

Just some advice. Don't worry about others, if you do your work with Ihsan and Allah gives you Tawfique (guidance), then you will never have your success limited by others.

Become a well wisher.
