Is She the One?

  • You wait a year for her. Yet, she is not the one for you.

  • You buy her gifts during monthsary and spent a few hundreds to celebrate her birthday at a hotel. Yet, she isn't the one whom you marry.

  • You type lengthy captions on Instagram about how beautiful she is and how fortunate you are to have her. Yet, she's now having a time of her life with her boyfriend that drives a Mercedes.

  • You go the extra mile of accompanying her to go salon, waiting for her longer hours just to choose that perfect dress and would buy anything she craves because you love her. Yet, when she sees you, she would give a smirk face and say to her friend 'I don't know him'

  • You would always send her long lovey dovey texts before she goes to sleep. Saying ' I love you. You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen'. Yet now, when you browse to her social media, she unfriends, blocks and  unfollows you

The sentence 'I Love You' is so special and, blessed are the people whom their special ones utter that to them. But when you utter those special words to a whole bunch of unappreciative people,you just waste your breath in saying it.

It's not easy to forget someone whom you once loved. It's not easy to let go of that mutual feelings you have for her. It's not easy to be friends back with her. It's not easy to pretend nothing happened whenever you bump into her.

Let go of your girlfriend. Let go of that someone you THINK she loves you. Let go of that i-want-to-have-girlfriend mindset. Let go off that evil thoughts you have.

Instead of you searching high and low for that 'perfect' partner ; The one that looks like Vanessa Hudgens and have a body like Victoria Secret's model, why not you improve and better yourself to please Allah?

Please the creator first before you would want to please the creation.

Focus on improving yourself as a Muslim. Ask yourself. Am I praying the 5 daily prayers regularly or once in a while? Do I really recite the quran during Ramadhan & abandon it once Ramadhan surpasses? Do I respect & obey my parents truthfully? Have I been a good brother?

Questions like these, make us ponder that actually we as a Muslim need to improve on lots of things be it pleasing our Creator, obeying our parents and be honest in our everyday affairs.

I believe if one focuses on these types of thing, the right partner/spouse will definitely come knocking to our door. It just takes time for that right person to appear in our life.

Don't despair. Don't complain. Don't envy others. Allah's words will always be true.

In Surah Dhariyat, verse 49;

Insya'Allah.
